Spring: Time for Decorating
The holiday season is finally over and springtime is approaching, you walk throughout your house and you realize that all your house is full of damages and outdated looks. The feeling of how big the projects that have accumulated is overwhelming and you don't know where to start
At this point you have several options: 1. Burn the place down to the ground, collect the insurance money and start from scratch. 2. Hire an interior designer who charges outrages prices, guts the house and wont be done for months. 3. Be creative with simple items in your house you can have a new look in one weekend.
If you have selected option 3. you are reading the right blog. Bellow I will show you a creative fun, inexpensive way that will save you time and sanity, to transform your home just by making some adjustments around the house.
Pick a wall that is visible from different point of the house. Prime it and paint it a neutral color if its not already. Look for an old mirror and loose photographs that you have of different sizes. Now on a piece draw a sketch a draft of what the wall will look like. Using the mirror as a center piece, organize all of the loose pictures around it. This will help you as a map when you are at the hanging stage.
Bring your map with you when you pick the frames. I suggest to have the pictures and the old mirror framed professionally, it saves time and in the long run it will save money. Ask about the 30 min framing service and make sure they've installed the hanging hardware. Once you pick up the framed pictures and the framed mirrors, use your map to start hanging.
Once you are done, you will see how much difference something this simple will make in your house.
